# Kibana performance issues

Hi,

My kibana instance get's stuck while making queries and requires a refresh of whole web page and make query again. And if i switch tabs and come back again, I have to reload the page to view the results.

is there anyway to improve the performance of Kibana?

I'm using kibana 7.0.0 (talking to 5 node elasticsearch cluster of 7.0.0).

Hello,

Which app of Kibana are you getting stuck? Can you check your network tab in browser tools to see if any request is taking a long time?

I have been using 'discover' tab.

I checked this and it seems like elasticsearch query takes less than a 15 sec but after that kibana takes nearly 2 minutes to display the result.

And for some queries I see around 15 sec 'stalled' time during which nothing seems to happen. Initial load of kibana takes around 30 sec.
