# Kibana shows 5 hours less than the time posted

Kibana shows 5 hours less than the time posted, where as in the elastic search it shows the correct time for the same field. How does it converting from es to kibana.
Please some one help me

The time stored in ES is assumed to be UTC. By default Kibana will adjust this to local time. If you're storing local time is ES then Kibana will appear to be doing weird things.
