Hi Wylie,

Glad it's not just me confused...! Thanks for the quick follow up too...!

Below is the setting for `discover::searchFieldsFromSource`

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/elastic/original/3X/5/e/5e0deb47645b7307e7ac71d82d95fe11f616b17e.png)

A portion of the expanded document in Kibana that shows `elapsedtime` as '3' in Kibana, rather than the expected '3.039' is shown below. In the expanded view it also shows in Kibana as '3' so this isn't an artifact of the line-view.

The index pattern for my `elapsedtime` field is as follows:

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/elastic/original/3X/3/e/3ef3c04dbe7bc194096161f6f9d5f0e6ac796dbf.png)

and finally the setting for `format:number:defaultPattern` is:

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/elastic/original/3X/0/8/08fa7d5355beaf2471c2f281bb18301811576be6.png)

I'm not sure I see anything obviously wrong with any of these....and this seems to be working fine on records that are prior that timestamp... 😕

All help appreciated!

Regards,
Steve
