# Kibana tile map metric color range manual definition

Hello all,

Does anyone know how to manually define the ranges associated with metric color in tile maps?

Apparently kibana defines the range interval with 5 colors using (max-min)/5 but that doesn't help dealing with outliers.

For example:

I have 90%+ hits in one color bucket.

Hey Alexandre,

unfortunately that is currently not possible. We already have an open issue for implementing this, that you can follow: [#7538](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/7538)
