# Kibana User management

Kibana is a nice one and can plot our expected reports there. Only problem is with Kibana "User Management".

Is there any plan have to release kibana with User [admin / normal users]. As I need to give my Kibana dashboard to customers, but don't know how to set permission for each users, also how to enable only dashboard option for customer ids [remaining panels settings, visualize should be disabled]

I imagine we'll be asked to pay for [Shield](https://www.elastic.co/products/shield) for this functionality. Elastic don't put _any_ indication of pricing on their site though, so I have no idea what even a "Development" license costs without contacting them.

Shield provides auth and ACLs to the data, but not to areas in KB.
