# Kibana WMS Maps Zoom Breaks on Higher Resolution

I'm using Kibana 5.3.0 and attempting to use the WMS compliant USGS maps (the default provided when selecting 'Use WMS compliant maps' in Kibana.

When at a certain zoom, it works great, but at the next zoom level the map doesn't appear anymore. Is this a limitation of the USGS maps?

A working zoom level:

It's likely that's the case. The highest zoom I could get was 15. If you check the network tab you can inspect the tile requests, after a certain point they start returning blank tiles.

Thanks @jbudz, do you know any good open source WMS maps that provide better zoom capabilities?

In the past , I have used this 3rd party WMS compliant Map Server like this one

```auto
http://ows.mundialis.de/services/service?
with WMS layers set to:
TOPO-OSM-WMS

```

Give this a try and let us know if it works...
