# Lab Guide: X-Pack Machine Learning - Lab 2 Multi-Metric Jobs: Fare Quote

> 1. Create an index pattern for farequote. To do this you need to open the "Management" tab in Kibana, then select "Index Patterns", then click the plus "+" icon to add a new pattern. Use farequote for the "Index name or pattern" and set the timefield to @timestamp.

Recommend changing

"then click the plus "+" icon to add a new pattern"

to read

"then click the + Create Index icon to add a new pattern"

Minor but I spent about 10-15 seconds looking for a plus icon rather than a plus icon with text.
