Elastic has announced it has joined forces with Packetbeat, the open source wire data shipper for web, database, and other network protocols. And then we thought, why stop there? There is an entire spectrum of operational data full of valuable insight flowing through organizations today. So, we've also launched Beats, the open source platform for building data shippers to get insight into anything from network packets to log files, infrastructure metrics, and beyond.
