# Limit of index pattern in Kibana for Elastic 8.8

Hi @elk1985,

As far as I'm aware the limit still stands. There are details in this older thread about using [Elasticsearch Curator as an alternative that might help](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/cant-create-index-pattern-if-you-have-more-than-100-indices/197919).
