# LimitNOFILE Parameter 65K for ElasticSearch . for RHEL

Hi, Is it ok to set 65k as LimitNOFile in RHEL as root user? If there are performance issues with 65K File handles, how can that be mitigated? Can the file handle processes be killed? Any monitoring tool that can be used to improve performance?
