# Log stack freezing After starting API end point

If your JSON files are pretty-printed then you will need to use a multiline codec on the file input to combine all the lines of a single JSON object into one event.

If you want to read the entire file as a single event you can use [this](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/parsing-array-of-json-objects-with-logstash-and-injesting-to-elastic/203197/2) configuration.
