Check kibana.log might be an error. Kibana has internal user: kibana\_system, check `elasticsearch.username: "kibana_system"` and pass in kibana.yml

If you need to reset pass, you can use [elasticsearch-reset-password](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/reset-password.html)

also, can we use our own certificate for Elasticsearch and for kibana? or elastic creates its own cert and uses that only?

Yes, you can use your own certs. ES has tool to create and manage certificate. It's up to you.
