# Logging configuration Kibana

Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to set logging parameters in the file **kibana.yml** by using the _"rolling-file"_ function, here is my configuration :

```auto
logging:
  appenders:
    rolling-file:
      type: rolling-file
      fileName: /home/elk/logs.json
      policy:
        type: size-limit
        size: 50mb
      strategy:
        type: numeric 
        pattern: '-%i'
        max: 2
      layout:
        type: json

```

There are no file created in this path...  
Can someone help me please ?

I resolved this by adding:

```auto
  root:
    appenders: [default, rolling-file]

```

It seems that kibana ignore the configuration even on the 7.16 version...
