# Logstash doesn't work properly

I had to reinstall the logstash service (I use windows). After that it stopped parsing and I can't find new logs in kibana, though Logstash service is running. I know that the problem is not in logstash.json file, because before reinstallation it worked properly and i didn't change it. I have logstash.yml, but it seems that this file is ignored (all strings are commented there and it doesn't cause any mistakes). Tell me, please, where should I look for mistakes?

Start it from CLI instead of as a service. Should give you some info onscreen.
