# Logstash input/output parameters?

Hi,
Could anydoy explain below parameters in input and output plugin of logstash?
batch\_count?
threads?
What is the trade off for better performance?
What is relation between workers and threads for one input or multiple inputs in one conf file? I have N nymber of Shippers with N ports open and N number of Indexers reading keys.
This will help me a lot for my project.
