# Logstash jdbc\_streaming filter pipeline reload and database access

Hello,

I'm using logstash with the jdbc\_streaming filter, that connects to an external MariaDB database.

When I stop and restart the database, the pipeline using the jdbc\_streaming filter fails, and there is no automatic configuration reload that unblock the pipeline. Logstash continue to be "up", with a failing pipeline.

Has anyone seen this behaviour, and has an idea to make it works without restarting (or kill sighup) logstash ?

There is an [open issue](https://github.com/logstash-plugins/logstash-filter-jdbc_streaming/issues/19) for this, along with a PR that has never been merged.
