# Logstash Keystore creation in Windows 10 not working

Is there any additional configuration needed to create a keystore for logstash in Windows? I installed 7.4.2 via the zip file in Windows 10 but when I try to run the logstash create keystore command it just hangs there.

Command (run via powershell as admin):  
`C:\Users\jg\executables\logstash\bin\logstash-keystore.bat create`

I already verified that the path.settings in the logstash.yml is valid and nothing has shown up in the logstash logs.
