# Logstash monitoring with basic license?

Hi there.

Is it possible to visualize logstash monitoring in Kibana using basic license?  
I read documentation and set the settings as they are described for logstash but monitoring option doesn't appear in Kibana.

Any help will be welcome.

Yes. Per [this page](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/monitoring-logstash.html), monitoring is available for Logstash with the Basic license.

Are you certain that you are using the Elastic distribution downloaded from [elastic.co](http://elastic.co)? The OSS distribution does not include the monitoring application.
