# Logstash output to CloudWatch Logs

I am aware of the 'Cloudwatch output plugin' for Logstash, [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/5.5/plugins-outputs-cloudwatch.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/5.5/plugins-outputs-cloudwatch.html)
However, there is a need to send log data from Logstash to Cloudwatch Logs. I ran across the link for 'A logstash plugin that allows to send logs to AWS CloudWatch Logs service' at [https://github.com/awslabs/logstash-output-cloudwatchlogs](https://github.com/awslabs/logstash-output-cloudwatchlogs). Do you have any additional information on this or are you aware of an alternate method?
