# Logstash Pipeline events emits and received

Hi,  
I am setting up a logstash pipeline to get data from sql db.  
I executed it and monitored it after pipeline completion on kibana server.  
I saw **Events Received** and **Events Emitted**.  
Both values are different.  
I did not understand why.
