# Logstash pipelines taking longer duration to start

Hi all,

I am using a logstash with 8 pipelines and if restart the logstash it is taking around 45 minutes to get started and bound to 9600 port.  
The logstash version is 7.7.0 .  
I'm looking to optimize the logstash to reduce the start time for it .

Long startup times starting with 7.7.0 are mentioned in the 7.7.1 [release notes](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/logstash-7-7-1.html#_known_issue). elastic's recommendation was to downgrade to 7.6.2. Upgrading to 7.8.1 would now also be an option.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't aware of the perfomance issue. will upgrade the logstash .
