# Logstash-postgreSQL

Hi! I am having trouble with an error with the jdbc\_driver\_library.

I receive this error upload starting Logstash:

"Error: org.postgresql.Driver not loaded. Are you sure you've included the correct jdbc driver in :jdbc\_driver\_library?"

My current version of java is 12 (newest version). I downloaded the driver from [https://jdbc.postgresql.org/download.html](https://jdbc.postgresql.org/download.html) and with the "newest driver" [PostgreSQL JDBC 4.2 Driver, 42.2.5](https://jdbc.postgresql.org/download/postgresql-42.2.5.jar), for java versions 8 and newer.

My configuration looks like this (my .conf file and .jar file are in my Logstash directory):

jdbc\_driver\_library =\> "postgresql-42.2.5.jar"  
jdbc\_driver\_class =\> "org.postgresql.Driver"

Any advice? Thank you!

That isn't even mentioned in the [support matrix](https://www.elastic.co/support/matrix#matrix_jvm) for logstash. I suggest going with 11.
