# Logstash shutting down

after installing logstash in a windows machine and tried launching it with the command : bin\logstash -f logstash.conf  
it start but immediatlly shows an error message and shut down  
the error meassge : org.jruby.exceptions.SystemExit: (SystemExit) exit  
PS : im new to elastic , any solution pls ?

`the error meassge : org.jruby.exceptions.SystemExit: (SystemExit) exit`

There should be more details above in the log.

Have you tested your configuration?

`bin\logstash -f logstash.conf -t`
