# Logstash single or multi pipelining?

Hi,

What would be the recommended approach to using multiple pipelines vs using a single pipeline with conditionals about wether to apply or not the filter. I'm trying to understand when to use each one, but I'm unsure about how it would really impact a production environment.

Any idea, suggestion, experience (good, bad or terrible 😛 are welcome 🙂 )
