# Logstash the pipeline stopped processing new events

ENV：

```auto
logstash 6.2.4
kafka_2.12-2.0.0

```

My logstash has running several months，but it did't provide of service when I check it today! The process of logstash was still available.

The log report :

```auto
[ERROR][logstash.pipeline] Exception in pipelineworker, the pipeline stopped processing new events, please check your filter configuration and restart Logstash. {:pipeline_id=>"main", "exception"=>"", "backtrace"=>[], :thread=>"#<Thread:0x492232f9 sleep>"}

```

If it does not tell you what exception it received there is really no way to diagnose what happened.
