# Logstash URL Login giving error

Hello,

I am trying to pull in data from Dynatrace. But getting the XML data required Login.  
I have the config file :  
input {  
http\_poller { urls =\> {  
test1 =\> { url =\>  
"[https://xxx.dynatrace.com:8021/rest/management/reports/create/PROD\_ElasticDashboard?type=XML&format=XML+Export](https://xxx.dynatrace.com:8021/rest/management/reports/create/PROD_ElasticDashboard?type=XML&format=XML+Export)"  
user =\> "xxx"  
password =\> "xxx"  
} request\_timeout =\> 60  
interval =\> 120  
codec =\> "plain"  
} } }  
output { stdout {  
codec =\> rubydebug  
} }

We are getting unknown "user" and "pass

Look at the documentation for your version of Logstash and you'll note that authentication is configured somewhat differently than you think: [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/5.2/plugins-inputs-http\_poller.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/5.2/plugins-inputs-http_poller.html)

(You should also be able to upgrade the logstash-input-http\_poller plugin and use the newer version where authentication works as you've currently configured it.)
