# Logstash V7.17.16 and JDK Version Compatibility

We are currently running Logstash 7.17.16 and we are being asked to update JDK to version 11.0.21 the current version installed by logstash is 11.0.20+8.

Does Logstash 7.17.16 support JDK version 11.0.21

If so how do you update the JDK version installed by Logstash?
