# Machine Learning Annotation Cleanup

Hello,

It would be nice if there was some way to clean up ml job annotations in bulk from the ml gui.

Hi,

Annotations are stored in a separate index and can be accessed using the alias `.ml-annotations-read` and `.ml-annotations-write` with standard Elasticsearch APIs. For bulk deletes I suggest [Delete by Query](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/docs-delete-by-query.html).

There is currently no support for deleting annotations via the UI. I will add your request to the [corresponding issue](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/25856).
