# Main ERROR Null object returned for RollingFile in Appenders

i use ES 6.5 , on trying to start ES getting following error

2020-08-25 11:58:01,121 main ERROR Null object returned for RollingFile in Appenders.  
2020-08-25 11:58:01,122 main ERROR Unable to locate appender "rolling" for logge..."root" 2020-08-25 11:58:01,122 main ERROR Unable to locate appender "index\_indexing\_slo...index"  
2020-08-25 11:58:01,122 main ERROR Unable to locate appender "audit\_rolling" for...Trail" 2020-08-25 11:58:01,122 main ERROR Unable to locate appender "index\_search\_slowl...owlog"  
2020-08-25 11:58:01,122 main ERROR Unable to locate appender "deprecated\_audit\_r...Trail" 2020-08-25 11:58:01,122 main ERROR Unable to locate appender "deprecation\_rollin...ation elasticsearch.service: main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILRE  
Unit elasticsearch.service entered failed state.  
elasticsearch.service failed.  
Hint: Some lines were ellipsized, use -l to show in full.

I tried the following from github

1. chmod 775 /var/lib/logstash/queue  
2.chmod 775 /var/lib/logstash/dead\_letter\_queue  
3.removed logstash-plain.log  
4.tried to restart as other user

Unable to start es.Kindly help
