Hello,

Is it possible to limit the amount of history indices marvel keeps around  
via configuration? If so, how?

No, you need something like curator -  
[GitHub - elastic/curator: Curator: Tending your Elasticsearch indices](https://github.com/elasticsearch/curator) - to handle it.
