# Max items on runtime fields

Hi Elastic people,  
A curiosity... I emit more than 100 values ​​in the runtime fields, and I saw in the forum that 100 was the maximum.  
I saw this thread

from 2021 and wanted to ask if there have been any updates. That is, would it have been modified to be configurable or the same limitation remain?

Sorry, I am working with Elasticsearch 7.16 and my curiosity is because Nik Everett wrote ·  
_" The emit limit isn't configurable now but it's worth talking with the folks who wrote it to see if it should be. Or if we should bump the limit up."_ Thanks!
