We used packetbeat in a course from my university to discover the traffic which are made from PC-Pools.
Now i'm interested to write my thesis about this stuff.
I'm planning to capture the Uplink from the university. It has approx. 2Gbit/s maximum bitrate.

My question is:
Is it possible to handle 2Gbit/s of traffic or what is the maximum you've done?

Thanks for your answers!
Jan
