# Metricbeat beats x-pack monitoring + Logstash output not appearing in Kibana monitoring GUI

Hey all,

As I migrate to Elastic Stack 8 I'm working on migrating all monitoring over to Metricbeat, and because I may have beats installed on more widely accessible locations, I'm wanting to use Logstash output for metricbeat so that I don't need to have hard-coded credentials in configuration files.

I have a couple of metricbeats configured for elasticsearch output, and those are displaying correctly in the monitoring GUI, but the ones I have configured for logstash output are not appearing.

I have the logstash ingest configured as a beats input, and straight to an elasticsearch output.

Anyone have any ideas?

Nevermind, I figured it out, my output wasn't directing correctly.
