# Metricbeat-rabbitmq problem

How can I get the "Client-provided name" using Metricbeat ?

@Chris_Shim What version of rabbitmq are you running? By looking at the code for rabbitmq metricbeat module, I don't see code that collects `Client-provided name`. I will double check 🙂

Thank you so much for all the detailed information. I was able to create a new connection with a client-provided name. Turned out we don't support collecting this field right now so I created a github issue for adding this feature: [https://github.com/elastic/beats/issues/12851](https://github.com/elastic/beats/issues/12851)
