# Metricbeat visual builder uses wildcard for index

All of the visualizations imported for metricbeat that were Visual Builder visualizations used the wildcard (_) as the index. This made the dashboards very slow to load, I changed them to be metricbeat-_ and get a significant boost to performance.

Seems like a bug to me. Any reason why they were made this way?

@evanb Could you try to set `setup.dashboards.index:` to overwrite the seetings to your need?

This is mainly helpful as a temporary fix so you don't have to do it manually.
