# Metrics Inventory UI flickering

Encountered this in Kibana Metrics UI `v7.7.0`.

Chrome: `83.0.4103.61`  
Auto refresh: `off`

It seems to be trying to resize the boxes continuously.

I am not sure if this is a known issue.  
It's displaying fine on Firefox.

Hi there Hendry!

I've tagged the appropriate team on that Github issue, you should get a response soon. I wasn't able to reproduce this, but I don't have as much data in my cluster as you. One recommendation would be to try disabling Chrome extensions (or using an incognito window) to see if there may be something interfering.

Hello Josh,

Thank you for your reply and help tagging the Github issue.

I will try to use an incognito mode as you suggested.

There is no Chrome extension installed.

The "flickering" actually stopped if I split them up into groups.

I just tried with Incognito mode and I got the same behaviour.

It should be related to the way the UI is trying to detect the panel maximum height (also noticed the scroll bar) to decide whether to display 3 dots or truncated host details.
