# Migrating the index from 7.14 version to the new elasticsearch cluster with 8.0 version

Is it possible to migrate the data from elasticsearch cluster with 7.14 version to new cluster which is having 8.0 version? Is there any migration path has been defined for this activity? Any utilities available?

go to kibana  
go to stack management  
last option is upgrade assistant

you will see something like this. click on critical and it will tell you what needs to be resolve
