# Mirgation guide from 6.2.3 to 6.8.21?

Hi,

we have one instance of elk stack of version 6.2.3. All components are running as docker images.  
To get rid of log4j CVEs we need to upgrade to latest 6.x version.

Can I upgrade to latest 6.x. directly or do I need go through all minor versions?  
Are there any breaking changes or do I just need to restart with the latest 6.x docker images?

[Upgrade Elasticsearch | Elasticsearch Guide [7.16] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/setup-upgrade.html) goes into that.

TLDR - you can upgrade direct to 6.latest.
