# Monitoring - "Node" page node\_id hrr6uI-eSUutju5ssFQeBQ

Hi

Elastic & kibana 6.6.1, Centos 7.6

I have noticed that node\_id is showing this ID, not the node name I have specified in elastisearch.yml config file.

I do remember that few releases back that there was this user specified node name, but not sure which version it was.

Perhaps this is a feature, I do not know, just in my opinion the user specified node name looks nicer.
