Hi Team,

Few months back we have created one ILM policy for all indices. It was working fine then now our business need to is to create different policy for different indices the idea is to rollover some indices in 3 days and some to 10 days so on.

Can we create new ilm policy for existing ilm based indices ? because if create new ilm policy how these indices will point to new ilm policy because existing ilm policy is managing previous ilm indices.

Please suggest how to do this .

The best way to do this will be to create your new policies and then attach them to the matching index templates and wait for the new rollover to occur.
