# Move Indices from Cold Node to S3-IA

Hi Team,

Could you please let us know how we can move only indices from cold node to S3 with a snapshot- restore policy. Is there any option in backup policy to target only a freezed index from cold node to be moved to S3-IA. Please help.

We are planning to have life cycle like

HOT-\> WARM-\> COLD-\> S3-IA

This is not currently supported out of the box, you'd need to build this yourself.

As Mark points out this is currently not supported. Looking at the master documentation there does however seem to be [ILM enhancements coming in some future release](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/master/ilm-searchable-snapshot.html) that might match what you are looking for.
