# Multiple outputs and filebeat back pressure management

In case of multiple outputs, how the back pressure management will be done at input say filebeat as the performance of each of the outputs will vary. Also what will happen if one of the output will fail. Whether the event feed to logstash from filebeat still continues or it stops till the other output is back to normal.

Throughput will depend on the slowest output. If one output fails, processing will halt as Logstash requires all events in a batch to reach all destinations before it can be marked as completed.
