# Multisearch API explaination

Hello all,

I am using _Elasticsearch_ since a while and wanted to use _multisearch_ API, however, I didn't find resources to understand how _ES_ executes the searches in parallel and how the concurrency parameters control the execution. I want to understand the internal work done by _ES_ not how to issue requests or write code for batch search.

Can anyone point me to a resource other than the **documentation** as it's shallow?
