# Multithreading in Kafka input plugin for Filebeat

I'm using the Filebeat Kafka input plugin to consume data from Kafka and send it to Elastic.  
I noticed Filebeat starts 1 consumer thread only. Is there a way to increase the number of consumers?  
I tried changing the max\_proc parameter but no impact.
