# Must vs filter differences in time

Hi Group,
I have a question regarding the usage of 'must' vs 'filter' in a search query. I'm aware that 'must' also returns a score, but how much time does it take to calculate this? Can it delay requests by a significant amount? For usage inside a query { bool : { ...
So no aggregations. ES 2.4.
