# \[my\_gcs\_repository\] repository type \[gcs\] does not exist

I'm trying to follow [Google Cloud Storage Repository Plugin](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/plugins/5.5/repository-gcs.html) and while at step: [Create a Repository](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/plugins/5.5/repository-gcs-repository.html#repository-gcs-repository) I'm getting following error:

ha! I didn't read it carefully

> The plugin must be installed on every node in the cluster, and each node must be restarted after installation.

after I read and restart each node, that's no longer an issue)
