# Need Help to write a watcher for alerting some beat.hostname missing on the last 1h or every day

I really need your help to write a watcher for alerting some beat.hostname missing on the last 1h or every day.

I would recommend having a look at [this example](https://github.com/elastic/examples/tree/master/Alerting/Sample%20Watches/system_fails_to_provide_data) from our examples repository and adjust it to fit your needs.

Thanks @Christian_Dahlqvist for your reply, i try to adjust [this example](https://github.com/elastic/examples/) but it is not clear for me...  
Can you tell me what i change plz?
