# Need Percolate references

Hi I am new to ES and I want to know about percolate. I dont know anything on this percolate. Please share same docs on percolates which is suitable for beginners. Examples are very helpful. Thanks in advance.

Thanks warkolm. I understand what the percolator & its working. But can you explain the difference between the `_search` & `_percolate`. For me its looking same except in `percolator` we are storing the query and sending the doc where in `search` we are writing the query & searching.
