# Need shorter Elasticsearch endpoint URL

I am getting the following error when using Amazon Elasticsearch

`UnicodeError: encoding with 'idna' codec failed (UnicodeError: label empty or too long)`

The Amazon Endpoint URL is super long and I believe that this is the cause i.e.  
Endpoint: [https://search-smart-contract-search-engine-cdul1234567890ularygq62khi.ap-southeast-2.es.amazonaws.com/](https://search-smart-contract-search-engine-cdul1234567890ularygq62khi.ap-southeast-2.es.amazonaws.com/)

Not sure about what do you mean. Where do you see this message ?  
What is your question?

BTW did you look at [https://www.elastic.co/cloud](https://www.elastic.co/cloud) and [https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B01N6YCISK](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B01N6YCISK) ?

Cloud by elastic is one way to have access to all features, all managed by us. Think about what is there yet like Security, Monitoring, Reporting, SQL, Canvas, APM, Logs UI, Infra UI and what is coming next 🙂 ...
