Hello,

C# and .Net newbee here.

I've added NEST via the NuGet Console to my VisualStudio Project. Running
the following code results in an exception:

var uir = new Uri("[http://localhost:9200](http://localhost:9200)");
var settings = new ConnectionSetttings(uri);
var client = new ElasticClient(settings);
Console.WriteLine(client.RootNodeInfo());

Exception:

TypeLoadException was unhandled

> (Nest.ElasticClient ... konnte nicht geladen werden) (in English: ...
> could not be loaded)

I'm using Windows 8.1, VS 12, .NET 4.5

Could there be an issue with .NET versions?
NuGet has installed NEST version 0.11.7.0 and runtime version v4.0.30319.

Cheers,

Jan

Can you please post the fully stack trace (with inner exception if any).
What is your target framework (Net 4.5 or Net 4) in project
properties-\>Application? For me .NET 4 is working

If that is not helping you maybe want to turn on assembly bind logging
